Will-Myers in 2024, by the numbers

Check out this fun overview of some of our metrics in 2024.

Assembled by Abi Bacon

1 Web App Launched

I launched The Toolkit for my Code Curious members. Technically, it’s still in beta, so I can’t fully claim that it’s launched. But the act of fully building and launching a web app out into the world still felt big.

2 Webinars

We released 2 webinars, closer to the end of last year, to the members in the Code Curious membership.

3 Plugin Re-Releases

We re-built 3 plugins last year and working on updating many more this year.

Mega Menu Plugin

Tabs Plugin

Sliding Image Banner

8 New Plugins

We launched 8 new plugins last year, and have more on the plate for this year!

Expanding Panels

Countdown Timer

Vertical Accordions

Pricing Table

Dark Mode

Nested Menu Dropdown

List Section Sync

Pinned Page Nav Bar

10 YouTube Videos

Recorded and published 10 Youtube Videos, much less than previous years, but still a respectable number. Would really like to bump this up this year as face-to-camera content is really great way to build trust with your audience and differentiate yourself in an ai-dominated world.

11 Website Articles

I wrote a lot less this last year as well, and not sure if I’ll be writing more this year. For the type of content I’m producing, YouTube videos seem to be the best bang for my buck time-wise. The SEO juice I’d get from writing an article doesn’t have the same punch as it did a few years ago.

20 Newsletters

This was a big focus of mine this last year and I’m pretty happy with this number. Roughly one newsletter every 2 weeks. Consistent newsletters were a pretty good source of growth and audience connection for us.

34 Code Snippets

The Code Catalog has been a huge value-add to the Code Curious members. I released more than 1 new snippet every 2 weeks and now have well over 100 code snippets in the catalog. Really happy with this and going to keep adding new snippets.

130 Plugin Reviews

Received 130 plugin reviews this last year, which I’m very pleased with. We use the built-in Squarespace product reviews system.

182 New Members

The Code Curious membership more than doubled in it’s second year. We released Member Discounts on plugins (20% off), a new Slack Community, and the Toolkit. The membership feels pretty rounded out now and I’m excited to be building more on top of this foundation this year.

2,688 Support Tickets Received

Managing Support is one of the biggest functions of the plugin business. We’re now a team of 3: me, Abi, and Jake. Jake handles most of our support inquiries and Abi duals as senior support + plugin developer.

While our goal is to make our plugins so good people don’t need to reach out, there’s way to fully remove the need to talk to a human. I’m pleased that we’re a company that’s able to maintain a human touch as we grow.

11,846 Support Ticket Interactions

And while 2,688 is the number of tickets received, that’s not the number of emails that goes back and forth. We’ve had 11,846 support interactions over this last year. This is almost 1,000 one-on-one customer interactions a month. We 💙 you people.

Keep Building,
Will
